Webinar – Copyright, Creative Commons Licences, and Open Educational Resources (OER)

Library F2020

Mélanie Brunet, Copyright Services Librarian

Does the open educational resource or open course you want to create include content created by others? Is it protected by copyright or is it under a Creative Commons licence? Do fair dealing and other exceptions apply? How do you combine content published under different licences? Is permission required? Which licence should you apply to your own open resource?

This webinar will provide answers to these questions and more to ensure that your work is open and reusable by others while respecting copyright. Note: This webinar is especially relevant for SOPI grant recipients creating projects to be released under a CC BY or CC BY-NC licence.

*An Adobe Connect link will be sent to registered participants the day before the webinar.
