Course recording (Echo360)
Lecture Capture
Echo360 lecture capture system records the video and audio feeds of the classroom lecture as well as the VGA or image feed (often presented through PowerPoint slides) via the classroom projectors.
Conditions
For a course to be recorded, the course has to take place in a fully equipped classroom. Only 80 classrooms are currently equipped with this technology. Use our Searching tool to see the complete list.
It also requires that the professor who offers his or her course in this type of room uses the course registration application at least 72 hours in advance.
Once the scheduled recording is done, the professor will receive an e-mail at the end of each session containing a link to the new video. These videos can be shared with the students according to the settings established by the professor. Shared videos are protected by a password and only the students can see them.
For more information on this technology, please contact the CITE at 613-562-5900 or by e-mail. We also offer workshops on techno-pedagogical tools, so please do not hesitate to consult the training program.
