Course recording request
How it works
TLSS's mandate is to provide professors with technology that can enhance their course, in the goal of improving student experience improvement (one of the strategic objectives of the University of Ottawa, Destination 2020). The ability to record a course, allowing students see it again, to dynamically revise the parts they have least understood or view a session they would have missed. The University of Ottawa has 80 classrooms where it is possible to have courses recorded. Here are the two types of recording available on campus:
Echo SafeCapture HD recording type: "Full Recording"
Half of the classrooms are equipped to conduct a full recording. This type of recording captures all video or audio sources used in the room and allows for video recording of the professor teaching (image and voice). Students will then be able to see the professor and the PowerPoint presentation on a single screen. A timeline allows students to go directly to the part they wish to view again by clicking on the slide's thumbnail.

Echo Software Capture recording type: "Partial Capture"
This type of recording captures the professor's voice, as well as everything happening on the podium's computer. This allows students to hear the professor and see the PowerPoint presentation. A timeline allows students to go directly to the part they wish to view again by clicking on the slide's thumbnail.
