"During the past number of years, I have developed podcasts as a supplemental learning resource to facilitate my students’ learning of the anatomical curriculum. Student use and assessments of these podcasts were tracked to determine their response to this innovative learning resource. Analysis of data from this project suggested that a majority of students found podcasting to be an exceptionally useful educational tool and the project received a very encouraging response from both students and faculty.

I have presented the results of this ongoing study and my experience with podcasting at a few conferences and noted a strong interest by other faculty members. I have also organized “Podcasting 101” workshops at our faculty of Medicine, and foresee that this educational tool will be adopted by many professors. However, many colleagues have expressed uncertainty with the practical details of developing their own podcasts. The following tips are derived from my experience with educational podcasting. I hope these help to familiarize you with this exciting teaching tool and show you how easily it could be used in your educational ventures."
