Welcome to the Centre for e-Learning - CYBER

The Centre for e-Learning provides expert consultation and support services to faculty* (and time to time to external clients) in the development and implementation of technology-based courses (fully online courses, blended courses, etc.), online teaching and learning materials, multimedia materials (tutorials, Websites, eBooks, etc.), presentations or research publications. Our team is composed of instructional designers, web developers, programmers and graphic artists.

In collaboration with the other Teaching and Learning support services' centres, University departments and faculties we participate in the development of online courses, projects and events, which demonstrate the University of Ottawa’s leadership among Canadian Universities. e-Learning Design and Development

  • Collaborate with our team of instructional designers, programmers, Web developers and graphic designers to design, develop and implement educational resources in a variety of formats that use interactive multimedia. Our work is based on current research and best practices that facilitate effective teaching and learning. – view our Course Design Rubric (PDF - 94KB).
  • Consult with our instructional design team in the preparation of proposals and budgetary estimates for projects that involve teaching and learning with technology. We can collaborate with you on projects varying in size and complexity and involving both internal and external partners.
  • Attend workshops, special presentations and seminars hosted by the Centre for e-Learning in collaboration with other University of Ottawa services and outside partners.
